Skills Development Exercise with Markers for Editing

For this exercise we had to work on the programme Final Cut. Firstly we had to import our music so we could later drag the music onto the timeline so we would have a base to work on. We then created a folder on the desktop called 'Pink Panther Exercise' which would hold all of the images we would be using on our video. We then browsed to find all the images which we took on the Mac's photo booth programme of our group. After this we dragged our music onto the timeline, and clicked on show audio waveform so it was easier for us to see the beats of the music we would be working with. Now we were ready to starting marking our music.

We played the song and used the keyboard command of 'M' to mark the beats of the music so we could place our images on the markers to create the effect of the music being perfectly correlated with the visuals. We learnt to drag the pictures to move, extend or shorten them.

Above is our finished result. This will help us in creating our actual music video and will make the process much quicker and easier.
